We only got 8" in my neck of the woods. We don't need no stinky hills to cross country ski (do have our fair share though). The wife makes me go first to make the trail, ain't that sex discrimination? Well, at least I don't have to do the laundry; (a strategically placed red shirt in a load of whites took care of that early on in the marriage, heh heh).

Well, Jack, just be glad that she didn't just go out and buy new clothes to replace the ones you ruined. (Heh heh- worked for me!)

Just a couple more inches yesterday, but there's talk of a few days of 37 degrees.

Hey Jack,

I spent two years in the U.S. Army in Alaska. Everyone was issued cross-country skis on arrival. We would ski up and down hill routinely, as well as across the flatlands.

One thing about busting your butt getting up the hill is the exhileration of sliding down the other side . . . trying to get a run at that next hill.

Liked cross-country so much, friends and I even did it off-duty. I'd bust my butt now for sure.

Hi John;
Not too much skiing on Mt. Houston eh? Not much here now either. Weather is warm 40's; Rain tonight & tommorrow. Don't seen natural some how. Skiing was good last weekend. I'm lucky enough to step out the door & can ski for a couple of miles, if I feel up to making trails through the woods. Peaceful. Something about being in the woods with snow on the ground...I like it.

I used to like being in the woods with snow on the ground when I was a kid. The only drawback is that it's easy for your folks to track you down.

Seventy when I got up this morning. Cold front coming, though.

John

Your starting to sound like Chip.

Wonder how the folks in Tenn. are doing heard on the radio (yes radio) that there is some bad flooding going on there.

They're probably getting the run-off from your unseasonably warm weather up north.

Dinner along the intercoastal....

Ya the snow is gone down here as well.

For about 4 million years!

Just another lovely day in South Fla.

I won't bother you with the details, lest I have another picture of me posted.
