Shower window sill.

There is a window in the shower we are tiling. The distance from the window frame to the face to the wall is about 4". The only bull nose in the tile pattern we are using is 3". On the sides and top we plan to cut tile to 4" and have bull nose on the wall overlap the edge.

The problem is what to do with the window sill. We've considered the following:

1. Overlap the tile edge on the sill with bull nose on the wall, but that leaves a grout line to collect water at the edge of the sill.

2. Use bull nose on the sill but that means putting in 1" strips of tile to make the 4".

3. Make a one piece sill out of some other material. We considered white PVC lumber but can only get 12 foot lengths and we only need 2 feet. Wood, even very well sealed doesn't seem like a good option. All the stone we've seen clashes in color or pattern.

Any other suggestions as to what to use for a sill for that window?

Thanks in advance,

Ted

Corian it is!

Thanks Jim.

Just happens I have some Corian sink and range cutouts left over from another house. I should have thought of it sooner. Best of all the color is acceptable!
