Tiling shower bench bottom

Has anybody every installed ceramic tile on the bottom of the better bench which is manufactured by Innovis? The bench is made of alloyed aluminum.

The company indicates a metal bonding mastic to tile the bottom. Does this product work?

Thanks

I would be afraid to try it. Even though it's underneath, it's going to get wet constantly.

Some sort of epoxy, maybe, but I have no experience doing that, either.

I have tiled both steel and aluminum but not without running straight to one of the adhesive manufacturers techs first to ask how to do it

Each time epoxy has been the answer.

Your comments have influenced my decision not to tile the bottom, especially when nobody will snoop underneath and epoxy is expensive.

Plus, I'm eager to start grouting. Thanks for your input.
