Travertine ceiling in a shower?

Any ideas on how to easily (and safely) set 4 1/2" x 9" travertine on a shower ceiling? Anyone out there done it before? I'd love to get some advice on this install.

yep. get ya a good quality thinset. NO MASTIC OR PREMIX.. flip the tile over so the back is facing you. Apply a generous amount of thinset around the perimeter of the tile. Kinda like a damn. Stay off the edges a bit. Might even put a nice dollap in the center. Smoosh tile to ceiling, wiggle a bit. You should hear air escaping the around the edges.

Just re-read your post. Being your stone is small, you could just use an anti sag thinset and use the spot method or trowel it on.
