Sealing Poly to Tub Surround

I am retiling my bathroom and I have stripped away all the old tiles and the drywall it was mounted to. I have placed poly around the tub and before I put the CBU up it seems like I would want to seal the poly to the lip of the tub surround. Any suggestions on what type of material to do this with or is it not necessary since I will be caulking the 1/4" vertical gap between the CBU and the tub. Thanks for the help.

Use 100% silicone to keep it in place. Wait for the silicone to firm up before trimming any excess plastic.

Hav eyou decided on a backerboard yet?
