Terrazzo Adhesives

I have a project that has terrazzo tile specified for floor product. I have a feeling that the subsurface below the existing carpeting is actually gyp-crete. Is there any reason why the usual terrazzo thin-set style adhesive would not bond with the gyp-crete?

Hi CT,

I have never tried to bond anything to GypCrete/lightweight concrete, etc. I have always removed it and replaced it with deck mud.
