A Tribute....

I was married to my first wife for over 30 years. We broke up, amicably and just decided we had different roads to travel. We both remarried, eventually and I am happily married now. My first wife, Kat remarried to a wonderful man in New Orleans. She and John have been together for many years and loved each other dearly. John had two throat bouts with cancer and a pacemaker as well.

Recently, he was hospitalized and intubated. He needs a new pacemaker and had two heart attacks in the span of two weeks. John was put into a chemically induced coma and is not expected to survive this. He was a good man and my heart breaks for my Ex. Truthfully, I don't know what she will do or where she will go. She tells me that after they bring him out, she will have "some" time with him. Plans are being made for cremation and interment at National Cemetery in Arlington as he was a Navy Man.

I will
miss John Knost.... You can see his invention at "Knost Flood Wall" on YouTube.

This was their song.....

John passed away this morning. No more pain...no more suffering. I pray that my Ex. can move beyond this, find a place to live and move forward. So sad.

Thanks, Brad. Yeah, it was an amicable parting of the ways and we stay in touch. She finally called earlier today. Still trying to process the loss...doesn't know where to go. John was in the process of trying to set up his Navy retirement money and all when he went unconscious...so that wasn't done. Same with SS. I told her to contact the SS Office and try to work it out so that she might have survivor benefits. Sending her a few dollars to help cover cremation....the Navy doesn't cover that.......but everything else.

Thanks for the good thoughts and kind words.
