L&M thinset

I've been in the trade since '83. Just curious if anyone remembers what L&M stands for. They were one of the original manufacturers of thinset products and we used their products quite often. The old timers used to say, "go mix me some L&M" long after L&M was no longer around. Just curious...

I remember using a lot of L&M thinset but don't remember what the L&M stood for.

Hi Don,

It might have been a regional brand. I started around 1970 in Arizona/California. All I knew was Custom.

I was in Atlanta when I started, but the old timers in Delaware said "mix the L&M" and this was in the 90s
