How about this curb? Tall enough? wide enough?

A new-construction shower, 60 wide x 32 deep, will be on second floor, on wood frame floor. Space is limited and a thin curb is needed.

Base will be mud, thickness 1-1/2 at front. We propose to build the curb with two on-edge 2x4s, each planed to 1-1/4. The wood core will be 2-1/2 wide x 3-1/2 high and wrapped sides and top in 1/2 Durock.

The built-up curb will be 4 high and 3-1/2 wide, and will stand 2-1/2 taller than the front edge of the mud pack floor.

Floor and pan will be coated with Kerdi.

Is this enough curb?

It can be shorter. By code, the top of the curb should be no less than 2 inches above drain height. Looks like you're above that.

We often make our curbs outta 2 inch wide foam board stood on edge
