Schluter bench over Schluter shower pan

I'm sure this may have been addressed already, but I've exhausted the search option and googled tons of keyword combos, so I apologize if this has been talked about already. I'm installing a Schluter Kerdi bench in a 32x60 shower. It's the rectangle kind that sits on the floor. I'm thinking if I put the the shower pan down first, and then the bench, there will be a gap between the top of the bench and the wall due to the slope of the pan. Would it be better to Kerdi the walls, then install the bench(laying it on the plywood subfloor), then cut the pan to fit around the bench? I would then make sure everything has Kerdi on it when it's done. Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Don't remember if the bench has built-in slope for the top, if not, you could just set it on the pan (with thinset both on the bottom and the back) and the thinset will fill in. Kerdi over it all, and all's well.

Gotcha, sorry about that. I'll keep it in mind going forward. We are just getting ready to start both projects, so I'll keep them separate. It's amazing to me how much great info and knowledge are on this website! Awesome job to the creator and to the moderators.
