Sanded or Unsanded Grout for Wood-Look Tile @ 1/16

We are having new wood-look tile installed as we speak and are not sure what type of grout to use. The manufacturers seem to recommend un-sanded for anything under 1/8" grout lines, but our tile guys said sanded would be fine. Our grout lines are 1/16".

I have looked through the forum and cant find any suggestions for this type of tile (and mixed feedback for other types of tile). Is there a "correct" answer? What are benefits/drawbacks for each?

What would you recommend we use (picture of ungrouted floor attached)?

Thanks for your help!

Unsanded is the standard norm.
