Thanks to this forum, I've finished all the the walls, tub surround and shower in our master bath. I've left the bottom row off all the way around so I can tile the floor then butt the last tile to the floor. My questions has to do with the transition of the tile from room to room.
How is the transition typically done from a tiled bathroom to a tiled hall with different tile. Use a marble threshold? Use a border of some sort to separate the two.
Also I will be tiling the kitchen/dining soon. These butt up to the family room with carpet. Can the carpet guy butt carpet right up to the tile or is it best to use an edging as I set the tile such as a schluter edge?
I've noticed that the marble thresholds at Lowes and HD are only about 4" wide. What good is this, most door jambs are 4 9/16" wide? I was considering using those to separate the rooms, but they are not as wide as a standard door jamb.
Thanks again........Larry
