Books(JB) and Books(MB)
Seems like I remember a post from John a while back about someone having his book and Michael's book packaged together as a set. I did a quick search at Amazon and Barnes & Noble but couldn't find them (as a set). Does anyone know anything about this?? I figured I'd go ahead and buy both of them before I started "the big tile project." May save me from asking stupid questions!! I'd buy them separately, but if I can save a quid or ? Why not?

Oh BTW, the Fu-Tung book showed up. Its really very well done. I still have to assimilate most of it, but I think they're do-able!!

Didn't see the package anymore at the link John originally posted.
Check out the "people who bought this book also bought..." section.

I posted that in the Mud Box, and strange bedfellows Michael and I do make.
I just checked the link and it's still there. They've raised the bundle price slightly, though.
Get 'em while they're hot!

Now that is odd....the link doesn't show them bundled on my page. Maybe because I already bought them?
Amazon just remembers a little to much about me...

I really appreciate you guys looking up the link for me--you'd think I could do something for myself!
John- you're right about the price tho--. No special deal now. Both books bundled together priced like individual books. I guess the advantage is being able to buy them both with one order number?? Sounds like a way for Amazon to get more of my money easier!! My mother didn't raise any stupid children.
Huh, Whats that Ma? Yeah, alright. (Gotta go--Ma's calling!)

Cami,
I don't think Amazon made a special page just for you. Look directly below my book, which is at the top. They have another thing that shows MB's book along with mine.
When flatfloor finishes his book, we're gonna have his there, too.

Well, John, it's just not there....I do get a nice note telling me I could sell MB's book, yours, and my guide to plumbing for $22.01...which happens to be the books I ordered with yours.

Amazon
Cami:
Believe it!! Any company that is half-way successful in Internet marketing has more information on you than you realize. I guess Amazon qualifies!!??? The server side scripts they run can do just about anything with the information they retrieve from your system along with what you leave them when you visit their site. The pages that you see are served to you in real time. Hence the ability to serve different information to different viewers at the same virtual address.
I have been doing some Internet marketing for the college and writing some code for about four years. I am constantly amazed at some of the contacts I get from agencies that I don't even know exist!

Well, Cami, I guess you just missed your window of oppotunity, didn't you? Everybody else can buy the package, but not you, babe.
I am aware of how that works. I just didn't think Amazon would work it that way.
This board works in much the same way. It has to create a new page for you to view each time you prompt it. Then when you leave that page, it "expires." But we don't tailor make pages based on "pings" we get from peoples' computers. Why don't we? We don't know how!
