Did I mess up?

Mixing up my dry pack for a shower I'm doing and picked up some Brixment to use. I though it had the sand in it so mixed it to where it would from a ball of mud with no moister in your hand. Packed it in place. Seemed to work alright but did leave some powder on the surface. Will this firm up? Used the same on my preslop with latex additive and seemed to be firm. Could I mist the surface with water before setting tiles or do I need to have sand in it? Or does Brixment have the sand init? Many Thanks

I think Brixment is Portland, ground limestone and additives........you should have mixed in sand.

Whole lotta shrinkin' and crackin' likely, Randy. Was this your pre-slope or final mud bed for the floor?

My opinion; worth price charged.

final mud bed. Looks like I will be redoing it tomorrow. Didn't think of this untill putting left over bags of brixment back into the truck and seen it on the bag where you needed to add sand. Though I had got the sand mix. Knew I should have stayed home today, mixing dry pack in the rain. Not fun at all!
