Help! Don't like tile color

We just installed lightly tumbled travertine for a kitchen backsplash. I sealed the tile before (not enhanced). Now that it's up, it's way more grey than I thought it would be. I was going for more of a brown to match maple cabinets and verde peacock granite. We haven't grouted yet. Can I warm the tile up with the grout color? I have classic bone, but it's more grey than brown. Will a different grout color bring out some of the brown in the tile? What color would you suggest? Thanks for any advice!!

It can. especially if you fill in the voids of the tile while grouting.

If this is just covering your backsplash, and if you have under-cabinet lighting, you might want to try a different bulb to help bring out the color you're looking for. Just a thought.

I have, on two occasions, used gel wood stain to get stone soap dishes to match the field tile. In theory, you could do the same with your backspalsh, though you would certainly want to test some scraps first.
