discolor grout - shower floor

3 month old shower install & shower floor grout has turned dark and staying dark. Wall grout drys back to original color. Saturated mud bed from clogged weep holes?

Could be weep holes, could be no preslope under liner and sub floor is not level and the water cant make it to the drain, Is the grout darker only on one side or is it the entire floor?

It's pretty much the whole shower floor. Walls are fine and floors areas outside shower are fine. Leads me to think the pan is holding too much water and grout is never allowed to dry-

That sounds like it could be weep holes then, or the drain is sicking up too high, some types of drains have a flange on the bottom and with no preslope the water cant make it over the lip of the flange, it has to be some thing of this nature, the bad news is you may not know for sure unless you demo. Did you hire a tile setter to install shower,or is this a new home? Some one should be held accountable.

could be the grey from the portland pulling up into the lighter grout.
i had that happen to me a while back and asked a few on the forum to confirm what I already knew.
saturated grey wet bed, grey water wicking up into the light grout

do you have a white, light tan, or almond grout color ?
