Tu Tu Tango was great as usual. I ate at least two of everything, and Frank ate three or four of each. Also, they had two different IPAs on draught, both of them good.
I'm glad Frank posted the picture of Tom Meehan and me. Tom and I go way back. He has been writing tile articles for Journal of Light Construction for years and is still at it. He is also the author of a tile book with Taunton Press (now out of print).
Frank didn't mention that the marble-like material he photographed is not stone; it's porcelain panels that have been book-matched. Beautiful stuff.
Luke and Justin caught up with me at the couch yesterday afternoon.
The furniture had not arrived when I got to the booth yesterday morning, so I got on the phone. A three-cushion couch arrived near noon, but we still have no coffee table to rest our feet on . . . and there's only one couch instead of our usual two love seats.

Most vendors aren’t selling until Friday, but I’ve set my eyes on a lot of grinder blades and accessories. Saw a couple jigs for angle grinders that give a consistent miter on the tile edge that I might get. There was some outlying booths of companies trying to break into the tile tool market on trowels and such. After talking with them it seems on Friday I could score certain items for pennies on the dollar. Either way I should get my fill

Tom Meehan has written a tile book and numerous articles on tile setting. He currently contributes to Journal of Light Construction magazine. Michael Byrne has written articles and books for years. He was also the first director of the CTEF (tile school) in South Carolina. Dave Gobis came next and now Scott Cruthers. Michael and I began as rivals and ended up good friends.
(Maybe a moderator can straighten out Frank's pictures. We don't know how to do anything about it from this end.)

Excellent pichers! Keep 'em coming!
It's 11:30 a.m. Coverings time and the show is just about wrapping up. So, after folks get home and recover for a bit, the pics will really start rolling in!

Not to mention discounts on some nice tools.
Procured a nice hole bit set, multiple grinder blades, and a unique stand that holds your first course without nailing in a ledger.

Met the Montolit cutting legend juice-zep-a wish I knew how to spell his name. Very cool guy, personable and cares about you knowing his product. I was contemplating one but couldn’t justify another breaker in the trailer. Trying to simplify my life Did pick up the diamond brazed blades from them that are hard to get without paying $20 for shipping
