Caulking tops of door trim and window trim?

I'm doing the finishing touches on the basement. I have caulked all the baseboards windows and door frames, but is there any reason to caulk the places no one sees? For example , on top of the door trim, on top of the window trim? Door trim that is stuck in a corner? Closets?

Yes, caulking helps to seal out drafts and pests.

I can see that with windows, that makes sense, but on the top of inside doorframes?

Hi David!

Is the transition of trim to tile or painted drywall?

It is onto painted drywall. I was going to not bother, but it seems that it is better to do it, so I am caulking everything, even the stuff that no one sees.
