News Flash! Not so NewB NewB says hello!

Hello Folks, My name is Ron and my company is All Trade Homes working out of Newton , NJ . I have been in the construction business for 27 years...ouch that’s a lot of bumps and bruises. My first 10 years I was mostly a roofer/siding man until I realized that the trade was being taken over by overnight wannabe’s. I was lucky enough to do plenty of work for a father/son home builder/renovator at the time who took it upon himself to push many jobs my way that where not in my trade and take the time to show me how to get them done right. Forst Construction from Berkley heights. He had a great circle of contractors that he treated fairly, new all those trades in and outs himself and
He gave me the confidence to start down the same path. Well 17 years later
I have built many a home/addition/remodels from the ground up and my need to learn more about each trade has not decreased. The internet forums are a great place to exchange ideas and you can never learn too much. Every area in the United States has its own learning curve and I can actually say I still enjoy what I do. 5 Years ago I found myself wanting to install the tiled shower stall/custom pan in my master bathroom myself. I had done many a tile job before but needed to learn myself the ins and outs of this tricky project. Many searches on the net brought me here to you nomads touting great success stories of the tile tundra! I pulled myself away from the Fine Home Building forums to reside here for a while. I don’t do it unless I do it right. 95% of the time I go by the book, the other 5% I will make dang sure it has been done before with great success by pro’s. While I just signed up again I have been reading here on and off for the last 5 years. I owe my usage of Ditra to you boys (You should all get a percentage of the Ditra profits) and hope to lend a hand here and there while soaking in all the fun.

Ron, Welcome. Good to have you here as many times we have questions that are not tile related and you can shed some light on those areas.

Welcome Ron...This is an excellent site for tile, but we do have many pros on here that can do a bit more than tile.
