cleaning travertine

hello! i'm darla. question....my husband just cleaned our travertine floor with ammonia. i'm thinking that wasn't such a great idea?!

That's o.k., as long as you don't have a wax on the floor that you want to stay on the floor.What you don't want to clean with is acidics,,,,,,ammonia is the opposite of them.

Even so, you don't want to make a habit of using harsh cleaners on your travertine. Get yourself a good quality stone cleaner and use that for regular maintenance.
