looks like heaven to me. Can't come for new years, you look like you are killing it up there. I told my wife, she is from queens that we have to make it up there before the season is over so I can see if I can run with the big dogs. she has asked me on more than one occasion to go to new york I have always declined due to work. her and her family always plan these trips and don't consult me they just say hey you want to go. I am like well I got a job that week. however I have went out of town to get trucks, plows, plow mounts, spreaders and a couple of trailers amd for work. so this is a semi touchy subject, so she said OH so Craig wants you to come to New York to push and now you want to go... it was all in good fun though Hope you get a good laugh out of this cause I did as trying to backpedal no baby we are going to see your family but since we are going to be up there I might as well get to play

My buddy from Boston says that many cars come up missing like that. The loader drivers push the cars up to light poles then stack snow around them. People report their car stole and then find it in the spring when the snow melts. Nothing worse than when it is a work truck or van and he is parked 3 stalls from the end and you have to back drag both sides of him and then the guy comes to work. Needless to say we had a talk about vehicle placement and his future parking habits.

Had that happen a few years ago. Loaders in the lot next to us were stacking snow. Little did they know a guy parked behind the pile and walked into work. Snow was getting stacked over the pile on to his car. He came out and couldn't find his car. Found it with a metal detector.

I got one for yaThe shit that can go wrong category. This was last year guy jumps in a backhoe push box wasn't attached so he started plowing with just the bucket. This is a fireable offense with my company anyone caught plowing not using either a push box snow bucket or skid plow. Somehow the cutting edge fell off guy didn't notice and kept plowing what started out as a nice beautiful asphalt parking lot needed up looking like a scratch coat on a mud shower. The bucket was trashed and they couldn't find the cutting edge. They found it when the snow melted in one of the pile. Oh this was a area manager none the less.

Yeah. That was good. Over a season we get some good stories and wacky stuff that happens. I lost track of how many light poles and fences have been hit or taken out.

Last week.....guy in a Komatsu 270 with a 15' pusher "accidentally" hit the switch for the bucket release ( it's actually 2switches) Went to stack, gets it to highest point and tips forward. Bucket and pusher drop off the arm of the loader on the top of the snow pile. That was a fun one to call in .

Well this is a nice start to the morning. Main hydro line blew out. Sprayed fluid all over the machine. You can see it all over the windshield and on the ground. Time to break the kitty litter out and call the mechanics. Happy New Year to me.

Last night out for a few days.
Time to catch up on some sleep.
