Please remember them!!

I got an e-mail from one of my closest female friends this is it ,& if you havent seen it you gota watch the whole thing .

I could barley get through the first 2 minutes but the whole thing was powerful .

You will need a few minutes to watch this.

Dave got a call yesterday from the Capt of the ship he just got off last year. They need him, and his captain is trying to pull strings with Admirals to get Dave back on the ship for another 6 mohth deployment to the Persian Gulf. Technically, he is supposed to be on shore duty for as long as he was on the ship (2 years). Now we wait ................... I hate this war.

Louis,If you haven't seen this already, prepare yourself! Pretty powerful stuff!

Too good not to pass on.

The following is the hottest thing on the internet and on Fox News today. Lizzie Palmer who put this YouTube program together is 15 years old. There have been over 3,000,000 hits as of this morning. In case you missed it, here it is.

Louis,
Thank you. I think the greatest strength of that presentation is the effort made to keep it supportive without being political. I caught myself trying to decifer which arguement (stay the course, bring them home) was attempted at and I was happy to decide that it's been left open for either case to be made, depending on the viewer. It's not a political piece at all (in my eyes) and I found that sincerely refreshing.
I think everyone can get behind the message of this piece and I'm very happy you've shared it here.
Thanks again,
Shaughnn

Very moving Louis.

Having been in the Honor Guard and having been on burial detail next to the grieving families I can honestly say that the pictures shown help to capture some of the feelings.

Thanks for posting this.

Michael,
What was your point with that??? Sure, there were caucasians but there were also many "other hued" people. These images were obviously collected from a variety of public sites, and not solicited. That means that the composer had a fixed palet to work with. And if you put any trust in the billions of dollars (US) spent building demographic models here in the United States you will know that caucasians are more likely (statistically) to take and share the sort of photos featured in the collection.
That being said, of course the United States regular army has a greater representation of the cultural prism, but the National Guard units which are in Iraq aren't so diverse.
So, was there a point you were making, please?

Thank you for the reminder Louis. It's easy to go about life back home as if nothing's happening. It's good to remember why we have a chance at a life, whether you agree with the war or not. Dave
