DeWalt Tile Saw Issues

I was working with a friend (tile layer) using his DeWalt saw and noticed that the saw made considerable noise as the blade came to a stop. He took it in to a local electric motor shop and they pulled it apart. They found 2 different bearings that were bad one of which was getting wet due to the saws construction. last night we were finishing a tub surround when my saw started making the same noise and i am worried about bearing corrosion. According to the motor shop a fine mist gets in through the area where the blade stop is and he expects most of theese saws have the same problem. My question is is anyone else having bearing issues with their DeWalt Tile Saws?????

other than the bearing issues i like the saw and have no othe complaints...

I don't have one but I'll chime in that I've read some people around the internet having motor related issues with the same saw. I haven't heard of anyone tearing it apart and sharing what they found, though.

Shane, type DeWalt 24000 in the search feature and you'll find a couple dozen discussions about that saw.
