The variable speed Makita is nearly 1 1/2" longer than the Makita single-speed. About the same length of my Milwaukee single speed.
The variable speed is a little larger in diameter, too, and a good bit heavier, which I initially thought were gonna be problems. Turns out neither bothers me at all.
Still rather it'd be as light as the single-speed, of course, but I guess they gotta have more room for more motor and such, no?
Bottom line is I like the variable-speed better and am glad I got a couple.
My opinion; worth price charged.

You know I wouldn't pass you by, but I don't see where you said you wanted to be inna line.
Besides, rat now I ain't got no steenkin' grinder to send neither of youins. Jeremy ain't said he was ready to turn loose of it, don'tcha know.
I was just postin' this in case he done forgot where it came from like some others have been inclined to do.

I am still in line. Whenever Jeremy decides to give it up.
I'm Roger - been around a while.

Just send it back home when you're ready, Jeremy. I like to have a look at it before it goes to each new foster home.

Jeremy, my Son, I grow lonely for not having seen that grinder for soooo very long.
Those adoption papers you had your attorney forge are not gonna save you when push comes to shove, don'tcha know.
Prolly somebody else out there wants to give it a try, eh? Be nice if we could get it turned around before I gotta go goat guidin' again next month.

Yeah, time flies by whether you're having fun or not.
Roger, email me a shipping address if you're still interested in a test drive.

Only free loaner stuff, Jeffy, not really the same as free stuff, eh?
Grinder's going to Roger (TileArt1) next, but you can have it after he gets a feel for it. Don't despair.
Or I could bring you one of mine when I come out goat guiding middle of next month, but you'd only get to play with it for a week or so. And it prolly wouldn't be the same as trying the official TYW version.
