Spectralock haze

I was helping out a realtive with his bathroom project Thanksgiving weekend. I laid a field of diagonal 12" tile in the 30 sqft room, leaving him with the grouting, which he didn't appear to have any fear of. He picked up spectralok and apparently was overconfident of his ability.

Visiting on Christmas, I found that he had a visible spectrlock haze from a lack of good grout cleanup. He is a nice guy and generously gives me credit for helping him, but of course the finishing is less than desirable. What's the best way to get rid of the haze without replaceing the Porcelin tile?

First attempt would be white vinegar and water (50/50) and a white nylon pad. If that didn't budge it I think I would try some CLR and white nylon pad. (Make sure you thoroughly rinse both products off the tile once you are done.)

I was told by Laticrete a while ago to use the Soft Scrub with Bleach in it if the cleaning packets weren't enough..
worked like a charm with a doodle pad, on bigger floors I use an orbital buffer with a cloth pad.
whips through it real fast and comes up super clean.

While it is good to hear that our SpectraLOCK grout was used .....

..... it is not so good to hear that excess "haze" was left on the surface of the tiles for several weeks....!

The posts above have good advice regarding cleaning / removing the haze.

Thanks for the response... I'll see what I can do with it. I have to say that even with the mishap, the grout is uniform and looks great.

Very handy timing. My first spectralock install is tomorrow. I'll pack the orbital just in case.
