Looks like there would be plenty of room in the box to fold the kerdi into. This would help keep any moisture from getting behind the wall.

I see what you mean about a little bit of space between the plaster casing and the gasket.
I also see that Kohler is advertising on their website the new DTV II now with integrated steam settings in the same control panel as the digital thermostatic valve control. They continue to show their watertiles in use with the new DTV II w/steam system, so you may be alright. It's something you may still wish to check wih your local rep and get them to gaurantee before trusting that it wont introdice steam vapor behind your tiles & drywall. Odds are that they blame the tile guy before the plumber for steam damage, since the fittings themselves are't necessarily failing, just have gaps.

First two days on the job were spent putting in nailers, making the steam shower door longer and wider, pitching the ceiling, and hanging the cbu. We love it.

I'm guessing that you nixed the Kohler water tiles? I don't see the blue housings anymore.

nice work. what size tile is that??? are you spacing it out for a reason. the door trim and color actually goes with the wall paper. and oh yeah way to go with the chair rail at the top with the small chunks you had to tile in there above it

I agree with stullis the nosing is a water damn. but then again I agree with DANNY if they pay they get what they want and when they want
