Beer? This is getting harder and harder to resist! I love beer!
However, you say the toilet seat and lid don't match, and as much as I want that black goo (I don't have a use for it yet, but I'm sure it's good for *something*), a non-matching seat and lid is simply a deal-breaker. Sorry.

Wait... In that first picture, in the lower right hand corner of the shower, is that a mosaic of a person? With the arms up in the air? I hope you saved that.

R.I.P. Jimmy. Enjoy your giant, moldy acorn in the sky.
Here's to a smooth build, GraniteGirl.

You are welcome to come pick it up. I restrained myself and did not break it when I put it in the dumpster. OK - I was too grossed out and was afraid some of that stuff might come flying out onto me and cause me some totally exotic disease like Ebola or something. A total possibility.

Joking aside and in all seriousness, these colored fixtures are making a come back. Matching lid/seat or not (my preference actually because no one wants another's pee stained seat) you might find that you can make a buck or three on it if you sold it. I'd recommend a good dose of pressure washing and a few splashes of bleach. What year was it? (No, I don't want it...I collect enough crap as it is).

By any chance, did you inherit a repair kit with the house?

I fixed up your posts a bit Adriana. Maximum of 10 images per post, you had twelve in one. I moved the last two to the start of your following post.
I also attached the images. Tapatalk keeps changing things, not sure if you have an option in Tapatalk anymore to upload the images to the forum or not. It is preferred though.

Hi Joe! Thank you for your moderation. I guess I got carried away with the pictures there, but if I merely said: "We had pink mold too.", people might not have taken me seriously and all. Imagine how many words I would use if my images ran out...

Thank you for the optimism. I do think though, the only people that might have paid me for that toilet would have been the CDC (not Chad Dieter, no, the diseases place!) Or maybe the DOD. Hey... Wait a minute... I might just make my million after all! I hope nobody steals that loo out of the dumpster before we get back there!
Marty: No. All WD40 and other things of value were removed from the property long before we got there. Too bad.

A little update
The shower from hell looks a little better now and we have been using it for a year. I still marvel at the amount of light in the space, even though it is technically in the basement. It is so much better now
Working on the actual en-suite bath at the moment and will tile the floor this next week. I have some big plans for an inlayed niche design that I just might pull off. Shower will be Kerdi board with an acrylic base (we got a steal of a deal on a really sharp shower kit (still in the box). It came with a pan and I am fairly happy about that

Good job.
What's the brand name on the shower base?

Hi Kevin
Thanks for the compliment!
It is a Hytek 60" base. I never knew and had to go check for you. Got it on Craig's List for $300, including shower head & trim, hand wand and glass. It was a pretty sweet deal and it fit the hole

It's very nice. Did the part that sits on the base with the bench come with it?

Hi Kevin - yes, the whole base up to the bench is a unit. It is designed to fit a 60" standard tub opening and even has the drain off to the side for ease of replacement
