Laticrete 253 OK over hardi-backer??
I'm putting down 12 x 12 porcelain floor tiles down onto 1/4 inch hardi-backer.
The thinset I have is Laticrete 253 which is described as a polymer-fortified, thin set mortar.
I called Hardibacker and asked them if this was OK----they said as long as it meets ansi 118.4----it's OK to use as is.
If it only meets ansi 118.1------it'll need some additives.
I'll be damned if if I can find any specs on the bag of laticrete. I called them---unable to reach anybody.
Is this OK to use as is?...........................Thx...Dave B
