And with that they have just moved themselves from the "really useful tool" category with the D24000 to the "way too heavy for one old guy to carry" category with the old Felkers and Targets.
Diagonal cut on a 24x24" tile is still a straight edge and hand-held wet saw cut for some of us.

Anxious to hear some reviews once people have it in their hands. Really bummed it doesn’t have wheels though. I’m not even that old, but I won’t buy any sort of stand saw (miter, tile, table, etc) unless it has wheels.

so is the difference that is allows for larger tile due to the bed and the support arm having that deep notch in it?

The extra cutting depth to the left of the blade could come in handy. Hopefully the sliding table is a little less sloppy the the D24000 with those big tiles. That said, I'm not sure it's worth the extra 20+ pounds and increased size.

If it wasn't for the screaming motor and less than stellar longevity I'd buy one.

I've had my DeWalt 24000 now for 11 years, still running good. I did replace the plug due to that GFI box tripping. that was 5 years ago. My MK101 was heavy as a truck, but that lasted 16 years.

Jeff, you should use an MK-370 for a while so you could appreciate the quiet running of the D24000.

You would think that the arm would flex and the head of the saw would move.

So true. The MK370 is the only wet saw I've ever owned. Mine cuts impressively straight but does have many pros and cons.
But wow, that thing is loud. Hearing protect is mandatory.

once it hits the shelves, i should be able to get it for about 40% off (assuming similar pricing to the DW2400).
if anyone wants to do a review.....
