Grout Colorant w/ 511 Sealer

Have 2 x 2 hexagonal carrara floor tile with WHITE grout....well it was white 6years ago. The grout is Customs Sanded Grout and has Miracle Sealant 511 penetrating sealer on it.

QUESTION 1: Can I paint a grout colorant (like the one by Customs) on the grout even though it has been sealed?

QUESTION 2: Is there a way to get the 511 out of the grout?

Thanks!

Jo,

I'd guess the sealant is long worn off by now. A water test would be fairly easy.

Custom has a toll free number to get specific instructions as their products have changed over time. Let us know if you get an answer from them.

If you suspect the grout is free of a sealer, bypass using a stripper and just use the pre treat cleaner that coincides with the colorants.
