Jeff, you brought up the ANSI thing. I also checked out Lowes Wednesday evening and noticed that the Laticrete thinset and grouts they sell didn't have any ANSI ratings on any of the bags I looked at. I used to buy Mapei a little from them last year as they had Kerabond and Ultraflex 2. Wish i had a few of the bags left to check out the specs.
Hey also noticed that Mapei has a premixed mortar now at Lowes. Labeling looks just like the Mastic Type 1 version lableling they used to have. What they do, decide to join the crowd and call it premix like everyone else?

Looked at two showers this evening at a freind and dealers home. I should of took some pics but didn't want to push it. Wow! Mold everywhere in the shower, Ceilings , walls, floors. Perfect place to gut and do Kerdi systems. She is going to break the news to her husband this weekend on the project we are going to undertake. Definatly going to be some before and after shots of this one.

Kelly,
It was jdm (Jeff) who coined the phrase "Uber DITRA". I too think that Herr Schluter should adopt the name.
Btw, which syllable do you emphasize when you say "bowdarkskull?"
I'll be checking for ANSI numbers in Dallas at both box stores this weekend.
Steve...John Allsbury is responsible for Texas and Oklahoma.
Cheers.

That's bowdarkskull, Scott. I thought ever body know how to say that, but Brian (San Diego) axed me to pronounce it, too. Guess don't no bowdarkskulls know how to say bowdarkskull, eh?

Thanks, that's what I thought. Brian, Joe, Matt and I were discussing the pronunciation Sunday morning. Just in case you're wondering, I resemble that remark. I do think I'm less of a bowdarkskull when it comes to Schluter though.
Cheers.

Yep, yep, I can believe that.
One of the best things about the whole shindig was that I got to see ol' MMike's beard and now I'm not askeered that there might be mountain lions or such hidin' in there. Hell, hardly room for a couple small Ibex in real life.

Y'all stumbling over that three syllable disparaging term? Do what I do (since I have to use it waaaay more than any of you in my dealings around here)....just say BDS. So far, at least, haven't been told that means anything more, well, not nice.
And quit picking on Musky. There's still a spot or two left in "The Line".

Aaaaaaaa, I don't believe there never was no steenkin' "line." I never once saw ol' Trask take a single lick, let alone no ass-whuppin' like promised.
Fishin' lures? Glad I din't never try to reach in there.

Trask earned hisownself a pardon...in the nick of time. However, he recently posted a pitcher that gave him a new invite back.

You need to talk to Trask about needing his name tag, it would have helped the receptionist help him find his room at four in the morning. Still really curious who's room he was in?

For those who can edit the group pic, the gentleman in the Third Row #3 should be TheoldScottyB.
