Moisture mitigation is/was part of the testing for Uncoupling membranes.
The results of the testing is not what some of you think!

One of the rules we have in new construction CX is to have the HVAC system going for a couple days before we install anything. The thought is the AC draws a lot of moisture out of the slab those first couple days.

We'd love to hear your thoughts Eric. Please elaborate

Interesting topic. I work in a lot of old homes with basements or slabs that likely had no vapor barrier installed underneath the slab when originally poured. i have removed tile flooring from these slabs and it generally comes off with little effort (unsure of the original setting material though). I too have read that Ditra is one of the better solutions to prevent problems. However, I'm interested in what other solutions exist.

Eric, do you have any additional information regarding testing of moisture mitigation with uncoupling membranes?
