Is PS-1 equivalent to exterior grade

The sheathing mark is PS-1. Is this rating suitable for thinset then Hardboard?

You don't want sheathing, you want the A through C stuff

No. PS 1 rated ply is either "Exposure 1" or "Exterior" ply.

If you mean Hardiboard, yes. Depending on exactly what you're doing, what layer of ply you're referring to, joist spacing, etc... different grades & thickness may be required.

PS 1 is available as a free download at the APA site here. Just need to register.
