World Series 2017
Haven't seen any chatter on the World Serious yet, and if the Stros win tonight it's all over. I've been loosing a lot of sleep this past week. The games don't seem to want to end. The score in Game 5 was 13 - 12 Astros. I can't recall ever watching a game with that many runs.
For the uninitiated, it's the Houston Astros playing the LA Dodges in LA tonight . . and tomorrow night if the Stros don't win tonight.

that's a little too far to go see a ball game
Read a little about them (MLB) using a "hot" ball this year explaining so many home runs during the season. That makes the game more exciting than a bunch of strike outs I guess

Been watching it JB, always enjoy the world series and glad to see some new blood in there. Game 5, I turned off like many when it was 4-0 but we all missed a great game. Always enjoy seeing teams who haven't won so I am rooting for the Strohs, was that the name of a beer

I have been watching the games. It's been an exciting series. I'm cheering for the Astros because Dodgers beat the Cubs.

Was in LA a couple years ago. Steve Taylor (Custom) took us top a Dodgers game and they couldn't buy a run. Now they're beating up on the Stros. Can ya believe it?
You can bet I'll be up late again tonight. Don't know if I can take the stress, though.

Wait...wouldn't that be a good reason to cheer for them instead?

Yes, it's quite a big deal here. The Astros go back a long way. They started out as the Colt 45s before I even knew where Texas was.
Jim,
Since baseball was invented in the U.S. it's within our prerogative to decide who gets to be in the bunch. One other country is included -- our good neighbors to the north -- Canada. You could be a part of it too if you would move your island a little closer to North America.

I was a Dodger fan growing up, went to Dodger stadium many times. I remember taking my glove so I could catch a foul ball but of course that didn't happen. A lot of memories with my dad and uncles. But, the Astros spent a lot of years in the cellar. It's good to see them win it.
