Vancouver
It surprises me there's no thread about Olympic games - such a event. Americans are doing great, superb ice hockey games, skiing etc. Anyone watching? I brought laptop to my work so I can watch.

Matt Lauer on the Sky tram with my wife and her friends
My wife went this morning (3:00 AM) to see the taping on the Today Show with Matt Lauer.
The girls where surprised that they got to ride the Tram with Matt and Evan Lysacek and got to see his Gold Medal.
She just walked in the door and now where hoping to see her and her friends in a crowd shot.
Fun.
The Olympics here in Vancouver is pretty special. My kids, their schools all the parents around my North Vancouver home are going Canada crazy.
So many flags, Shirts and positive energy.
It is a shame about the snow - last year we had so much....

This is the first Winter Olympics I have ever paid any attention to and I've found myself excited to get home to watch. Maybe it's the fact that I don't have cable and starved for sports, but the events have been eye opening. It's amazing how specially skilled these athletes are. Living in TN doesn't lend itself to winter sport opportunities, so I haven't tried even the most basic of skiing. I desperately wanna give it shot now.

We're recording the events on the DVDR and watching them with the kids. Both of our kids are excited by all of the events and it's been fun to experience them through their eyes. After watching the snowboard events (men's and women's), my wife says she want's to start paying attention to more "Extreme Sports".
Vancouver's so close, yet still so far away.

I have been watching. It would be nice if the more events were on more stations.

I have been glued to the tv since the Olympics started. So far, my favorite moment was watching Lindsay Vonn winning gold on that brutal slope that caused half the girls to wipe out. I've also been glued to the curling matches. I can't stop watching. Loved watching Apollo and Shonny on the ice and the crazy red headed dude on the half pipe. Currently watching Bode Miller going for gold on the slopes. I love the Olympics!!

It's been a whirlwind roller-coaster ride. At first I was not looking forward to it, for fear of it affecting work but it hasn't been bad at all.
If any of you guys or gals make it up here. Your always welcome.
I've got a nice couch to crash on. Oh yeah I live above a bar.
It's a blessing and a curse.
Hope you all have a great week end.
Go CANADA!!!!!
