A simple layout

I need the simplest way to layout the reference and grid lines for a 16 by 6 porch in plain English please.

Yes, I do . Two posts also.

Ahh..then your going to want to lay it out so that a post doesn't end up in the middle of a tile. If you lay it out with a full tile on the parimeter, does the posts get in the way? OR if yes, have a reference line that runs through the center of the posts, so you can cut the tile around them.

I have one post about 4 feet from the wall to make an entrance way and another on the same line in that makes the corner.

Yes the post would end up in the middle of the tile but I already figured that I would have to cut to fit that tile.


I really want full tiles on the outer perimeter.

I need more advice if any.

It has helped in the past for forum users to post a few pics of their projects...it lets us better visualize what's going on.

Good idea ! I get them up as soon as I can. If my two year old son and my six week old daughter permit me.
