Local Job Gone Bad

I know it's been a long time since last post.
Tile installation failure NW light rail project.

In this day and age and our area being so far behind almost everywhere else I was surprised to see this and immediately thought about posting here.

Anyone heard from a commercial rep what went wrong?

Mmmmm, maybe if you were to give us a hint about what went wrong, Jerry? Or perhaps even a link to some information?

He's referring to the tile failure at the new light rail station that isn't even open yet.

The photo is from the link to the news article below. The rumor is that a non-union contractor did the installation and a union contractor is being hired to fix it.

I don't know how a non-union contractor gets hired for a state project in our very pro-union state but that's a whole world that I'm ignorant to.
  • The photos show improper installation
  • The contractor is refusing to fix it saying the tiles aren't suitable
  • Another contractor has been hired to do the repairs
  • Tax payers will get screwed, no doubt

Jerry, look up Puget Sound Tile Installers on Facebook. It's our local, private group. This has already been posted along with some non-public inside info like the names of the contractors.
