isulpink or fiberglass insulation?

hi...on the outside exterior shower/bath wall---can i use a foam board type insulation or the typical glassfiber roll?;;;r15 ok?.....the board seems nice and easy and less messy................thanx................ mike

Mike, I wonder if the foam board would also act as a vapor barrier and you would end up with a double barrier situation if you also place one behind your substrate? Perhaps more details of the shower construction would help the pros here. John.

If you are down in the basement up against a concrete foundation, foam board might have some advantages. Otherwise, I'd go with twice the R-value that batts or a roll product can provide.
