Well after several rounds of talking about numbers and where I needed to be to come in and make it worth leaving my established business, and actually merging my business in a sense with phone call traffic and leads being directed through them. It is a salaried position with a % of gross sales attached.

They provide a company vehicle and card for contractor relations, and it being 5 min from my house will save a ton in gas. Among other things I was drawn to was the culture there, professional and driven but casual and laid back where it needs to be. Sort of a dream job for how I was looking to get out.

Of course there is a lot to figure out, but I am hoping to use my tile knowledge to run some workshops once in awhile, and who knows maybe host an event or two related to tile....if I can setup a mud event that would be the cats pajamas.

Justin, another step might be making it to Coverings next spring. It's in Orlando. Great place for networking.

Thanks Jim, my first week has happened and I need to look into some sort of work out routine, kinda used tile in lieu of a gym membership. Other then that it is an absolute trip to: not get dirty, not smell like a yeti, not have somewhere to be in the morning to get supplies before the day starts, unload product or trash from day before, do bids after a work day and so on… can’t tell if I’m rubbing it in or realizing all the extra curriculars I did?

Favorite thing to do in the mornings now is make the installers life easier with getting them ready for the day, I know when you’re ready to hit the day hard and issues start right at the beginning it can carry through the rest of the day so making that as effortless and easy as possible for them is my new joy.
