getting started

john i need to know how to start the first row of tiles on a shower wall. please let me know how to do this. do i use a board, if so where do i put it?
i'm using 12x12 tile in a diamond pattern with 1/4" grout on a 60"x88" back
wall and two end walls that are 30"x88" each. thank you

Hi there, welcome! Gotta first name we can use? I always start on the floor with full halves and use small wedges and spacers to make sure the start out is straight and stays onna 45. Find the center line of the wall and start there. Yeah I know, my name's not John.
