Cutting Schluter Profiles

I’ve always cut Schluter profiles using my miter saw with a non-ferrous metal blade. Used to have good results. Most recently the cut is heating up and causing the profile to discolor from the heat. Tried a fresh blade. Same result. What are you guys using to cut 45s on your profiles?

I just used a hacksaw with a fine toothed metal blade along with my mitre box to cut the 45’s. Cuts the aluminum just fine. Deburr with a small hand file. Wasn’t worth the time to change the blade on the mitre saw.

10" 80-tooth carbide on miter saw. Never a problem, with aluminum profiles.

Aluminum does not discolor when heated, are you trying to cut a stainless profile? Stainless absolutely discolors when heated - and will destroy a carbide saw blade, rather quickly I might add.
