I'm sort of thinking about going to this. I received an email saying the the NTCA Board meeting is Monday and the Technical committee is Tuesday. Are both of these meetings open to the public?

Also, I think this show coincides with the KBIS show and another one. Is the KBIS show open to anyone?

KBIS is open. But it's not free of charge for entrance and seminars like Coverings is. Last KBIS show I went to (like 7 years ago), it was something like $25 if you were associated with being a member of NKBA.

Jim- Yes Both meetings are open to the the trades. You will be seated as a guest. We encourage you to come to understand more about what the NTCA does. You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement document as some of this information is sensitive.
It is definitely a different show than Covering's.
It is more about flooring dealers than tile specific. If you are looking for tile and stone specific, it may not be for you. It is your choice. Hope that helps.

Personally I like Surfaces, even though it has competitive products like wood, carpet, and vinyl represented that can be a positive too. For sure you'll see something that will start your wheels turning about a better way to address a problem.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention that I'll be working with Noah Chitty (Crossville) and Ben Szell (European Tile Masters) once again this year in talking about Thin Tile. Bill Griese (TCNA) and I will also be giving a talk on using tile in LEED projects. I just tried to find some links on the Surfaces web page but it doesn't look like they're all listed yet, I'll stop back around with more info.
