A whole tenth of an inch in Boerne thus far, Justin, but I assure you we're quite familiar with flooding in this area. That storm will need to get pretty serious to give us more than we've seen in past.

I spent the morning cleaning the roof gutters. Emptying the work trailer. And a trip to the dentist. I don't think there will be a need to store fuel or food. We have generators that usually means the neighbors bring us their food.

According to the latest guesses, I'm in for 4 to 12 inches. Our pond is very low, and so is our lake. Maybe we'll get it all filled up.

I thought you been here long enough to know better than to say you really hope it would rain. That twentieth inch at the end of the day can make a fella a lot more careful what he wishes for.

We've had nearly six inches (2 PM Sat.). Wind gusts are probably about 30 to 40 mph. Janie's rooster (weather vane) took flight from the tower roof and landed out in the yard. Looks like he got bent up a little. Not a lot of damage, but who's gonna climb up there and put him back? His usual perch is over 30 feet off the ground. Johnny doesn't climb that high anymore.

Here in the Rosanky area we are at about 17 inches. My rain gauge overflowed during the night, so I'm not totally accurate. Picked up the rooster and propped him against the foundation. He gave me a really dirty look like it was my fault he fell off the roof or something.

The pond is a lake, and the lake is approaching ocean status. Had to go down and move my canoe to higher ground. No let up in sight.

Janie's Houston house is threatened. Water is up over the curb and sidewalk and into the yard. There is about another foot and a half before it reaches the finish floor height. The area is at definite risk. Her neighbor is keeping her informed.
