Pic of the WORST tile job?
Ok, we have a thread for all the good custom work and stuff.
well how about a thread showing of some of the hacks out there
or just plain unbelievably bad tile jobs you have seen.
I'm talking patch jobs, layout botches or just plain tile grossness. 
I will start with this classic titled........" Ice Cream Shop"
who in the world could do this and be happy....Not Me !

This was my favorite. The installer of this was thrown off the job just before the builder. That opening to the right is a HVAC duct.

Regarding the layout of the front of that shower bench.
It looks as though it is the same length on both sides of the walls coming of the shower inside corner and looks square. Is it not possible to follow the grout lines on the front going left to right?
I see where he started lining up on the left but when he got to the front right side, the grout joints don't line up. It is throwing me for a loop.
Should the front or face of the bench been a straight lay? Perhaps with a 2 or 3 diagonal clipped corners? It doesn't look right to me, but I don't see how he could of lined it up with joints intersecting on both sides of the bench without the walls above the bench not lining up?
Am I missing something here? I am an excellent tile setter but I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I have trouble with layouts. Trouble meaning that I can do them, it just takes me a little longer than most guys, especially when patterns are involved or diagonals. I have also worked with some great setters who do layouts rather quickly, only to find out (usually sooner than later; before it is too late) that they didn't figure something correctly.
I just want to know how that bench should have been laid out.....

Hey I did that ice cream shop those tiles were 3rds and that why I used the 9/16th grout joints in some places. No respect I tell ya!

Straight. 
There is a hack thread somewhere around here. Maybe one of the mods will remember it and merge this one with it. I'm beyond the point where I can find anything around here.

That very first picture is why I always check the tiles at Home Depot first cause usually they're not the same (shape) size. Not even close

That first picture looks as though they ran out of tile and started using the scraps but idunno?

I think they started to go out of square so they cut a little off a few tile but then installed them the wrong direction....haha
