my last project, nothing special. there's story to it. after we demo'd the bath, I found several leaks in the walls - old galvanized pipes were completely corroded. The owner is sweet older lady, I recommended to re coper. My plumber was busy, I found a guy - his price was right, was willing to start right away. He and his helper knocked it in one day (two story house, 2 baths). The lady was happy, me to - could go ahead with the project. 3 days later, lady called me upset and crying - all her diamonds were gone. I couldn't believe it. She said she'll report it. I called the plumber, he was upset more than her. Bad dream. 2 days later, she found them. She put them in th "special" box..... I guess she felt bead - now we're doing second bathroom, painting whole house, installing baseboards, doors, trims.......

My mom is starting to lose/misplace/forget things more and more, always blaming it on someone else.....the only thing she's losing is her mind.
Lati- nice as usual. Like the shower curb, you've done that before with the 3/4" travertine patio block. Great look.
Bummer you had to put the new plumber thru the stress, but great that the stones were "found".

No, Chad. That part of the name that says "self adhering" is just for fun.

Chad,
you use a sticky primer on the floor first, but the membrane itself is pretty tacky.
Together you cant peel them off the slab.

thank guys,
Gueze, you have sharp eye....
I use travertine all the time on the curbs. 1 costs me $8, bullnose 3 x 6" was the same price - I'd needed 32 pcs for that job..... It takes me 30 min with the travertine, 3 hours with bulnosses. No grout lines on the top, customers love it.
It was definitely pleasuring to call a guy and tell him: "great job, btw, didn't you guy take by accidents some diamonds"......

Brian, how big a crew do you have now ?
still making me feel REALLY slow - here is my current gig -
surround with glass band and framed mosaic with slate pencil rail trim - 1/3 brick bond - this one is getting the best of me!!!

Tim, nice work! it looks like your off to a real good start. I really like the 1/3rd bond look, that your idea or the owner.

Tim, looks good.
I have 2 guys that help me on my commercial jobs.
I like doing the residential smaller jobs myself with a helper or the mechanic.
we set and grouted the floors today.
