Fireplace
Fireplace-
2 1/2" x 16" black Indian slate from Island Stone set on brick pattern.
Set with tight joints and no grout. The day after I took these pictures my assistant went back to do the final cleaning and sealing, and pick up my ladder that is in the reflection.

Amos I like that fireplace and the way you wrapped the mosaic over the cabinets in the kitchen.
And nice work Rich. Is that the job you posted the report on where the tile was hollow (originally installed by someone else)?
 for you both.
And I can't wait until those Waste Management trash bags make it out here. Getting rid of trash out here cost almost as much as sand, or gas.
At least the views are good when we do repairs on waterline tile (installed by somebody else)
The island in the background is Lanai, just purchased by Larry Ellison of Oracle for $500-600 Million Cash.

Great work guys. I'm humbled yet again.
Here's a bath we're finishing in Bellingham, Washington. I gutted this condo and put a new kitchen and master bath into it in the 90's. Now we're back renovating the guest bath.
Started with removing all the galvanized plumbing and updating with new PVC.
After drywall and onto the Kerdi
Finally settin some tile. Unfortunately, the rectified 12x24 came in 2 sizes. Fortunately for us, we were able to segregate the sizes and use 1 size in the shower, the other on the wainscoting outside the shower. The 2 sizes were uniform, but because the tiles were cupped we opened up the joints a little to make the best of it.
Had to build the walls out for the mosaics with some Kerdi Board, Ditra and a little floating on one wall that was out-of-plumb.

Finishing up with some glass
13x20 porcelain floor tile & custom cabinets
Some Laticrete Latisil in the shower, with everything grouted with Laticrete SpectraLOCK. Even the little 5/8 x 5/8 glass & stone mosaics.
Lots of places for the client to pile all the stuff in there
and on Thursdays, we got to watch the sailboat races & outrigger canoes on Bellingham Bay. Not quite as nice as Maui, but not too bad either.

Isaac & Dana, beautiful work as always.
We just finished this kitchen in a law office on the 14th floor. We had from Friday 5pm to Sunday 5pm to gut the room, install a new floor, new cabinets, new granite counters, under mount sink, faucet, dishwasher, add the microwave and circuit, under cab LED lighting, fix the plumbing leak, paint, baseboards, and clean up after ourselves. There was no A/C on Sunday.
We are taking Monday and Tuesday off.

We had one very tiny end-of-the-hallway space to store materials during the week. It took one full day, Tuesday, to get the cabinets up to the 14th floor, stacked in the reverse order to be installed, doors stripped off and numbered. We did the preliminary electric Friday during the day and most of the flooring (except the last foot at the cabs) Thursday evening.
The guy in the suspenders does the same kind of work I do and is willing to help out on these projects. Although expensive, he's great to have around as he need zero direction or oversight. I also hired a strapping 6'4" 28 yr old to do all the heavy lifting. (the extent of his capabilities , bless his heart) and my usual helper who has been with me 10 years.
The most annoying part; every time we got on the elevator, we had to explain all over again who we were, what we were doing, that we were on the list, and we were supposed to be there. Usually that took 20 minutes. We decided to leave one person at the 14th floor to push the button to let us back up. Thank God for cell phones.
