It seems to be safe to say that if enough fire gets close enough to kerdiboard, that whole shower is going to be removed, regardless if it's standing or not afterwards. When firefighters take training, it's tought that engineered lumber (tgi's, truss joists, trusses, etc) are not going to hold up, and when asked, the manufacturer will tell you "if the structure is on fire, it's designed to stay together just long enough for people to get themselves out, they are not built for you [firefighters] to go in safely" if you ask the company how long it will last under fire load, they'll tell you "it's not tested for that" this is a problem so well known, that in some states, businesses must display a sticker roughly 6" round near the front door to tell firefighters if trusses are used, and what type of construction the building is. If you see one, it might read "RV" the r is on top, the v on bottom (maybe visa-versa) meaning the roof is built with trusses, and it's a type 5 construction (light timber framed)
With all that said, I doubt there is strict fire resistive qualities in place for a typical shower, including the backerboard, and back to my original point, if theres fire that will melt the kerdiboard, that shower will not be saved no matter what it's built of.

Finally got some finished pics sent to me from the hunting lodge we tiled this summer. 24x24 California Gold running bond on all floors that didn't receive carpet, and 12x12 California Gold running bond for tub surround and walk in shower. They didn't want any of it enhanced. The stone was pretty rough to work with. Some pieces as bad as 5/8" out of square in 12". We obviously junked those pieces or cut them down for curb etc...The gauging was rough too, but that is what you get with some slate. I spent about 3 hours chiseling edges on the floor before grout. The Home Owners didn't want it perfect as they wanted the rustic look, they just didn't want any toe breakers.

Shaun, nice bathroom. Noticed tub water supplies in exterior wall, something we don't do here where it gets very cold.
Levi- slate looks great!
Going back a bit- Jon, great shower, as others said, dropping that row of tiles from the ceiling onto the top of the wall is a great idea.
and other stuff.....

Nice work Levi. Those are the nice pics you should put on your website.

Why would it need to ? If the fire damaged the walls around a mudded shower would still trust the tar paper as water proofing ?
I don't get what you guys are saying about them left standing. They still can't be used anyway.
