I love the versailles pattern. I did a 600 sq/ft basement last summer. I'm actually going back next week to take pictures.
Looks great Mike!

Nice Kitchen Jon, I guess the knee is better.
here's a few from a few months ago.

The tile box in the corner is to cover a pipe. terrible plumber on this one.

I have to go back and get final pictures with tile base and vanity.
Hope you guys are having fun in Vegas. Don't forget to pace yourselves.

owner supplied tile was short bullnose so I get to go back saturday. my fault for not counting. works out so drywall guy can fix that wall, it was out 1/2" and homeowner wanted tile to edge.

This gives new meaning to the term "tile mechanic" The threads of the spindle on my cv axle stripped, and over time the hub bearings wore out. I headed down the road last weekend at 4:30 am and made it down the freeway about 5 miles before I hit a pot hole in the dark and realized my brakes were not working and had a serious pull to one side. 35" tires dont behave well on a bad bearing. Rented a couple tools, most I had. Changed out my cv axle and put a new hub on. Wasn't real fun, but on the same hand not to bad either. Cost about $240 to do the job myself. This is the DIY place eh?

I suppose as long as you use ceramic break pads.
I still think the tub looks better.

Thanks Todd! From the way it looks in the pic, looks like thinset inna grout lines. I can tell you it's not. Some of the 8x8s I hadda cut to make the pattern work.
Looks good Cain.
And Jack, the third chair rail onna left is crooked.

Why Redguard Jack? Not busting your chops, just curious. Also with liquids aren't you suppose to not be able to see the words " Durock" as a guide for the correct mil thickness?

geometric floor from start to finish
This is a medium sized Victorian reproduction floor from Olde English tiles aka wincklemans.
largest i've tiled was over a thousand square yards and took months to do. this took 6 days inc 9 hours setting out. and sealed with Dry-Treat.
Does anyone carry out this type of work and can you buy these tiles in the States?
Cheers Steve

Steve,
That's beautiful work but I'm a bit surprised by the underlayment you're installing over. Is that a layer of luan, or is it a sanded plywood?
I don't see much encaustic tile used out here in Seattle, though I'd love to install a large floor like you've shared here.
Thanks for sharing!,
