No way I could have done that bath including tear out in one week. That glass would take me 2-3 days alone prolly.

Work looks great btw.
Personally I can't stand that glass and pattern though.

I have dual monitors side by side and they are still too big. You can have a 52" monitor or a 14" monitor and they will re size in your viewer program but not when you post them on a forum.

I used a 3/8". It may have been fine with a 1/4 but the ply dropped off on both ends a heavy 1/16+/- so I wanted to additional height.

Most are slabs here also - tile countertops are a hard sell anywhere I think. This is a fitness place & good friends looking to keep $$ down to a minimum. I bartered with them for my membership dues this year - works great for both of us. Minimal out of pocket for both of us and MAYBE some will see the top and like it well enough to want one for themselves.

This is the 6th countertop I have done in the last couple months. I find most people aren't aware of how good a granite tile top can look - it isn't a slab but it doesn't cost like one either. There is a market for it - it just takes letting people know it is an option.

My granite guy usually has some remnants if I need something and gives me killer deal. It's a win win for everybody then.

Looks good John. Setting tile on a Sunday, must not be a football fan.

Granite tile with Spectralock is a good option. Much nicer than laminate but better pricing than a slab.

Easy day really - started about 10:30 & was home & showered by 2:30 with plenty of time for a sandwich before kick off of the Packers-Bears game.
