what did you grout that with brian? sanded, undsanded or epoxy? Also how big of a joint? And how much more time over a standard install...... $ extra charge?

I'm curious cause i like the look and would like to sell some jobs of it.

I'm not Brian but I set those on mud, cause it makes setting the larger tile easier, I charge about the same as I would for regular tile and I use sanded grout. It goes down pretty fast.

They are pretty easy to set, I agree with Rick.
These had 1/16" ridges lenth long which created an 1/8" joint.
I used a 50/50 mix of sanded an unsanded.

Brian, did you have to do any prep to the concrete?

Looks good. I'd like to sell that option too, a permanent option that looks like wood but doesn't swell up when you sneeze on it. (pergo)

My first job out of high school was the edger guy for wood floor refinishing company so even though I am a tile man I do like real wood floors.

Glass Tile Blade

This is a little old but i hope this helps

Where can i get a glass blade? Who makes them.

I have used the over priced MK DIAMOND RESIN glass blades that are good for 1 use, after it dries overnight the rim just flaked off , 150 dollars wasted.

Solution:

MASTERWHOLESALE.com

here in seattle master wholesale has thier private label premium glass blades for about 50 dollars for the 10 inch and I Love this blade. it cuts glass perfectly with no fracture or chipping of the edges. I was a bit sceptical as it appears to be just a normal blade, but It is awesome.

Here it is

http://www.masterwholesale.com/mwist...dID=1139432721

I had to do some compound miter cuts in some glass chair rail a while back and this blade works like a champ and its still going strong. It cuts pretty slow compared to a normal tile balde, but on my IMER 250, making compund miters in glass chair rail is a snap. Installing them is another story, as these did not have an opaque backing , they were just clear beer bottle green and a lot of fun for me LOL. Sorry you cant see the miters close up, but they are there.

you have an oval tub?

In working with my customers, I often have cool ideas and say, Hey, you know whatwould be really cool? If we did ... ( seemingly brilliant idea )

this is a good example of ( why did I open my big mouth and suggest doing this? )

Wow, Pete, there's a lot going on in there, so many different walls. Looks good.

Glass chair rail- nice way to dress up what appears to be a commercial bathroom.
